Trinity vs ABRSM music exams

Hi, my son just changed his piano teacher due to relocation, and the new teacher suggested he uses Trinity music books rather than ABRSM, he's done ABRSM exams before but we are not familiar with Trinity. Could someone tell me what the difference is (if any) please. I know this teacher also enters kids for ABRSM exams but she said Trinity would suit my son better because of the kind of music he is interested in (contemporary rather than classic). Any info is welcome. thank you!
