DD applied for a modelling jobm - should I go too?

Post by Katymac »

I know at 17 she should be able to go by herself

But something doesn't quite feel right about letting her traipes off across country when she has never done any modelling before

Even if I just hang around outside/find a cafe or whatever

It just feels wrong (first time - I'm sure next time I'll feel OK about it)

Have told my DS that he can start going to jobs by himself when he's 25 but then he is my 'baby' :D My DD is also 17 - suspect she'd want me with her and I'd certainly be happier - if your DD is happy for you to go then go- save yourself the worry.

I bet she would feel happier to have you near by Katymac. And your instincts to be there sound sensible. Once she knows the ropes and feels comfortable then you could leave her to it.

I agree I think you should go with her as modelling is different
To acting jobs you just don't know what they might ask her
Todo
Even if you stay as you say close by she is still only 17 as you say
Hope it goes ok for her

I go with my 16 year old and I went with my 20 year old until she was 18 - and she is very confident and independent - I would go, if she seems fine you could always go and have a wander :)

I would still go with my DD if I could Katymac and she is 21 :D I do miss our journeys together to auditions ... we used to talk about all sorts of things and usually have a nice cafe stop somewhere as well! Nothing wrong with going with her while she is still learning the ropes and she has the confidence of knowing you are on hand if needed!
