Hi jasmine2,

Long time, no speak! Hope you are well. Just been catching up on here (after about 4 years!) as ds has been offered a place on the degree course at London Studio Centre and has secured part funding (we're just trying to work out how to fund the remaining £4,500 for the first year!).

Anyway, lovely to hear that your dd is at Bodyworks. How is she finding it? I have heard it is lovely. I see on another thread that you were waiting to hear if she had the funding. Did she manage to get it or did you have to find it yourself?

Does she travel daily or does she live there?

Sorry for all the questions

Hi there
She is absolutely thriving at Bodyworks,... and she teaches there at the Saturday school too now! :D
It seems an eternity since she left Sylvia Youngs, but since then she has done a level 3 dance diploma scoring 100% pass mark. She then went on to get her DDI teaching qualification in Tap and Modern Theatre. But MT and performing is where her true passion lies....she travels by train everyday, which is on direct line from where we live..

She is still on the waiting list for Dada funding, but we managed to secure some grants from local charities, which really helps.

It is definitely the right place for her as the classes are streamed and very small, so they get good direction and feedback. They are just about to start rehearsals for their annual show.

She has also just successfully auditioned for her 4th professional show, which has an 18 show run in the Summer, so she is so busy, but she loves it all...

Mega congratulations to your DS .. I am sure he will love it xxx
