Hi my DD is going to performers college in Sept and is looking for accomodation. She wants to share with fellow students rather than with a house mother as she is 19. Does anyone know if there are any rooms available or whether there is someone in the same position who may want to look into sharing a property. I have been through the list today and so far have had no joy.

Hi all, like losingtheplot, we are also looking for accommodation for my dd who very fortunately received funding for Bird College this week but as it's later not so easy to find suitable accommodation. She is 18 and would rather share with other first years and not landlady. Any help much appreciated.

I'm starting to get a little concerned that student finance not sorted yet for London Studio Centre, hoping it's not going to be a problem as not sure we can afford to pay fees and accommodation for 3 years with student finance its a push. Does anyone know if this is standard with LSC each year?

My DD was told by one of last year's students at LSC that it was August before anything was sorted so I'm not panicking yet! My dd has started her online application!

I was also getting a little concerned about Student Finance for London Studio Centre but my ds said that he's been told this happens every year. We definitely can't afford to pay it ourselves. We've managed to beg steal and borrow so we can manage the first year but that is on the assumption that £6,000 will be covered by student finance. We're also still waiting for the uniform list.

Last year we had a long wait for funding news for LSC as they had to reapply. My daughter's just starting 2nd year and had email last week regarding fee info and the code for re-applying for finance. My guess is you'll hear very soon

Thanks Bambi. Yes we have the accommodation pack but most are landladies and as she's 18 she doesn't really want to stay with a landlady. We have applied to Avery Hill campus but not sure when we hear back about letting us know if she has a room there or not. I am waiting to hear back from a house share in New Eltham tomorrow. How has your dd found the first year there? Did she stay in halls or flat?

Pearl - have you tried Porselli - www.dancewear.co.uk? dds friend at Urdang bought hers in Capezio Covent Garden but I remember it being quite expensive although i think if you can prove you are a student at Urdang/Laine/Bird etc they offer a small discount? xx
