Are you referring to My DD x if so is your daughter younger? Mines 18 and on the musical theatre degree x although tramways was recommended by them xDancersinger wrote:I think our daughters will be on different courses? She has to live in approved lodgings for the first two years.
I'm sure as the school doesn't seem huge that they will meet up at times x DD liked the fact that it seemed quite family like x I know the degree students had their own area to eat/ chill x DD is hoping to do extra ballet classes so I'm sure they will meet up and as DD looks so young she tends to mix with everyone no matter their age xDancersinger wrote:Yes, mine is younger. She is 16 and wil be on the diploma course. Diploma students under the age of 18 have to live with a family. I got the feeling that the degree students also have a separate eating area that diploma students are only allowed to access in their 3rd year so I don't know how much they actually mix, if at all although they all do the main musical together.
Anyone got any update on this?Belledancer wrote:I know the lady in charge of funding at Laine is unwell x
I mentioned this to Dd and she had no knowledge of it. The Foundation year graduated on Sunday and I spoke with one student at Dd’s House who said they’d been told they’d be advised within 2 weeks. Looking back through photos on my phone, dd’s welcome pack etc was postmarked 19.5.17. Not long to wait now I’d guess!Scarytimes wrote:Anyone got any update on this?Belledancer wrote:I know the lady in charge of funding at Laine is unwell x
Not that I've still been checking the post carefully for the last two days just in case...
Thanks for that. We can always hope.reachforthestars wrote:I mentioned this to Dd and she had no knowledge of it. They did say letters for yes and nos and emails for reserves I think and didn't mention phone calls, so we are not sure what that means. Hard not to overthink things. I guess it means we haven't long to wait whatever happens.TeethandTwinkles wrote:Oh goodness. Do you think the funding is given via phone call and the no’s are letters?
