BOV are initially quick to get back to you about the recall, a matter of days. Then there is quite a wait until the final recall[they only re call once].
The final result is not announced until the last week in June/first in July. That can be quite a wait if you first auditioned in December.
They wait until they have seen everybody before making their final decision. They also film part of the re call. RADA also take their time, but they have about 4 rounds to get through.

Can any one tell me how much the recalls are as RADA have 4 do you have to pay more money for each recall could end up costing a fortune and then if you don't get in all that money wasted

I'm pretty sure you don't pay for recalls anywhere - only for the initial audition.

You only pay the initial fee regardless of how many re calls you get.

One down 2 to go ds did his RADA audition yesterday his time was 1.30 did not go in till 3 was one but last in they had 3 auditions that day they where running late so he only the 2 monologs not second one he had prepared. Got LANDA on Saturday then next Saturday BOV so just a waiting game now.

My DD did her bird audition yesterday, really enjoyed the day and was put completely at ease by staff and students, just the waiting game now.

DS doing his LAMDA audition today at 11.30 hope he dose not have to wait as long and goes in first not one but last like Monday one but last

Hi, I can't do this quoting thing
Its an 8:15 registration (dd stayed over night before) with parents briefing at 9, they either sing and do monlogue and have physical exam in morning then dance workshops in afternoon with a 4:30 finish or the other way around but then the finish is staggered depending what time you get everything done. My DD loved it and was happy just to audition as Bird don't audition everyone like others do. But its onto GSA next week for us which is the narrowest odds of all of them.

Finges crossed for your DD!! My DD should hear from Millenium this week. I'm trying not to keep checking the email, but oh the temptation!! Was the dance part particularly difficult? I've heard that it is more demanding than some of the others. DD is there in January. It's not one of her favourites at the moment, as she has the impression it is more heavily weighted towards dance than others, but as she has never been there, that could all change! She didm't expect to like Millenium but loved it there!

She said the dance was not hard but fast and they really do push you hard, DD said if she had not done two years training with WEKids she may have struggled with stamina. She also said try not to be scared by the amazing ballerinas (dd is definitly not one of those) she said everyones strong points came through in different styles.

Thanks for that! We are currently trying to cut her songs to the required 32 bars. I must admit, it's a bit annoying that they don't get to do at least 2 mins. 32 bars is about 1 min plus the 1 min monologue. Is 2 mins enough time to demonstrate the amount of time and preparation that has gone into these 2 requirements? They will have to really nail it!!

It is a very short song and monolougue session at Bird but the course is professional dance with MT so I suppose it makes sense for the emphasis to be on dance. Is Bird the only one that does a physical examination?? Its a tough audition wherever you go I would imagine. Hold on tight for a bumpy ride through auditions I think.

Most do physical exams I think at some stage. Some only at recall. Others only if you make the first cut from the morning to afternoon. Best of luck. It is tough picking them up after rejections. As I posted elsewhere just remember that not many get in in their first year of auditioning. Our DD got four rejections before Christmas last year then got an offer and a reserve list in January. Help them keep the faith.

Whatever you do , make the ending count . In an audition you have to make an impact. You can do a perfect piece but if the ending is dull that could well be the impression that is left.
