They asked for basic piano skills but she was not asked to demonstrate that in the audition! Maybe that will be in the next round.

Thats great francescasmum that is great the girls seem to be the same aqs in the book its just the boys part that seems strange to see thin boys when the script says jombo which I take to mean a fat boy not a thin one so there just very strange

I don't know anythink about the character DD went for I'm afraid. Agent put DD forward and we got a call on Tuesady to say she had an audition on Wednesday, didn't know what film at first until it was confirmed by e-mail! Can anyone give me some info on character, name etc

Any one else ds hear back from this feel it must be a no For ds but would love to hear from some one who has heard any thing back or no of a boy who got the part so I can forget about it would be interesting to find out what he looks like after all the thin boys who auditioned for it.

Hi Neverland - we heard from the CD via email yesterday that it was a no - very impressed they sent us an email! They liked my ds read through and would keep his details for next time!

Hi everyone, thanks for your good wishes, we got an e-mail to say the director has decided to 'go in a different direction'! don't know what that exactly means except that dd's no longer in the running, never mind. The CD seemed to be gushing about dd so hopefully they'll bear her in mind if something else comes up.

in the book, oliver lacon's daughters play flute, violin and recorder - i don't remember a piano-playing girl - but it's a while since i read the book
