He just retweeted (like an email forward) my reply tweet.
So I quickly asked an inane question about choosing agents and will see if he replies...

It definitely took me less than 30 seconds to find your twitter...!
I'd take it as a compliment. Maybe your name stuck in his memory due to being unusual.. ?
I rarely tweet, seldom re-tweet, yet have found myself following a vast number of CDs and agencies in the hope of spotting some interesting opportunities. For the most part though, most of the postings are drivel. There's one woman, supposedly running a business that could be of interest, seems to spend all her time getting drunk, regretting it, and moaning about her ex.

As I've said on another thread, if I wouldn't feel comfortable about shouting it out in the supermarket, I don't write it!
Tiddler has an account but it doesn't do much apart from follow me and her current agency, but is there just so it exists, if you see what I mean. I write more on her blog..
(If anybody wants to follow us, I'm @irrelevant_com and Tiddler is @MissEvaJane )
Facebook I seldom use; I find it much more juvenile, and the endless posts by games are just irritating.

Yes, but you have the advantage of knowing my Twitter handle!
The CD had nothing but my name. Wouldn't have even known if I had a Twitter account. So why look me up??!!
It all comes back to that - why look me up??!!
Rarrr! Can't get it out of my head.
Quick poll.
It's 8am. Should I get up? Or stay in bed coz it's warm and comfy and DH will bring me home a coffee and croissant soon on his way home from gym?
Stay in bed you say?
Ok! Can't fight democracy.

Well your twitter is the first entry on google searching for your name...

No idea ... unless he's been looking at your DD again!

Yep, sounds a good idea to me. Approaching Midnight up here, so time to get in bed!

My friend wouldn't tell me, and I did push... I think because of some confidentiality agreement -

can think for the life of me what next

Aw, spanx! I'm a sometime writer. When I get the time I like to write fiction, but one of my two day jobs has me writing a lot too. Not fun stuff, but writing none the less.
OMG my first stalker! I'm so excited. You know you've made it when you get one of those. Do you think the post office has DIY Restraining Order Kits where you can fill them in yourself?

Nothing too exciting happening. Think it's all fizzled out into "meh?"
I've had my 15 minutes of CD Twitter fame and I've come back down to earth.
He replied to my tweet about choosing the right agent and offered this sage advice - @Neeky78 the one who pushes you the least. The more push, the less care.
Which may not make sense in the UK, but here in Oz there are a LOT of kid agencies that take on hundreds of kids and charge a fee to join and have quite a racket going with interviews, follow up phone calls and emails and they harass you about signing up to them.
Interestingly, the agency that has said they will take DD on is very reputable and doesn't advertise or promote themselves at all. It's the one whose books actors try to get onto but not many succeed. They're not a 'kid agency' with catalogues etc, they're mostly film and tv.
Anywayz, they do the complete opposite of harass people as they have people harassing them! They also don't return emails very promptly either! Trying to pin down a day to sign the paperwork.
They're so caring...

Hmmm I'm intrigued now. You do hear of all these celebrities who are leaving twitter now because of the abuse they've had. Methinks Stephen Fry is the one to watch to find out what happens next!

Oooops

I count as a stalker then! I just want to read some fiction if you've published any
Congrats to your dd - it sounds like she's going to be in the right agency to gain the approval of your CD follower (aka stalker

) anyway
