That's great news - it looks like lots of people are starting to get behind her.

For example, I shared a link on my Facebook page and I know some of my friends have picked it up, been really wowed by her, and shared it further. She is definitely getting heard in the USA because a good friend in New Mexico has taken to her music and passed it on. Isn't the Internet wonderful?

It only takes a few people to do this and attention starts to multiply very quickly. I have no doubt that L's music is making quite a lot of people very happy right now - including me.

Hope L is enjoying her success - what is her dream and ambition for her music?

I think to be an honest artist who writes from the heart and moves people, hopefully selling enough and gigging to make a living.
At the showcase at the end of the course she did, she was approached by a man who organises gigs in London and he asked her if she would like to play at the Ice bar! I sent her songs to BBC Introducing and she has a slot on 12th October. Its been a very long road, but doors are just starting to open.

Thanks to all of you and especially Deb whose generosity of spirit is just lovely!!
Re Flo, have you tried sending her songs to your local radio station? Even if she can't play live they do an interview and play a track!

Aww....how kind! I don't think I can claim to be generous...we just love L's music

Flo's music has been played several times on BBC Cov&Warks and she has been interviewed by Vic Minett too. The interviews are on her soundcloud page if you want to have a listen. Just go to www.soundcloud.com and search Flo Bannigan - you'll find it all there. I'd noticed the 'Introducing' feature and was thinking about sending some of Flo's songs along for consideration - thanks for the tip

She has also been played on an Australian radio station's Stars of Tomorrow programme and reached number 4 in their chart a couple of months ago, no doubt thanks to the generosity of other NAPMs who voted for her. The presenter interviewed Flo over Skype a few days ago and it's airing on the station this week, along with a new song that I haven't even got onto soundcloud yet. If L would like some international coverage you could send your song along to them - either google to get the details or PM me and I'll dig them out.

Glad to hear L is getting some gigs. How can we find out where and when she is playing? We'd love to go along if we're in the area.

Just listened to the interviews, amazing. I didn't realise she had done so much!

We love Flo's music and can't wait for her new song to come out. We'd like to support L too and we're very near you, so please let us know when she's playing a gig in the future.

Yes, and it's all down to your L because that's where Flo got her inspiration!

I'm struggling to keep up with Flo - that's why I haven't shared her latest recordings yet (sorry, CatKat, you are always such a great support!)

Flo is performing again this weekend, just a local gig but it's all good experience and she is learning how to entertain an audience with her music. She is only 11, so she is not the finished article yet by any means, but she is having a lot of fun and developing her skills too. What's not to like about that?

If she hadn't fallen in love with 'Love me Back' she'd still be in the 'too tall for theatre' category looking for the odd bit of film/TV/recording work to satisfy her passion to perform.

And Flo is still working on her website because she is determined to share everything she is finding out with other youngsters who want to perform too. It should be live before too long.Isn't it great to be able to pass on the experience and - if at all possible - help others to live their dreams too?!

So, igloobabe - see what you have started? please say a big thank you to L from Flo.

I think Stars of Tomorrow tweeted that they are playing L's music - unless there are two with the same name!

Did you submit her song? If so ... wey hey!!! ... it's great to have two NAPMs live to the nation in Australia!

Jase - the presenter - is fab. He interviewed Flo a couple of weeks ago and it aired last week. When I get round to putting it up on soundcloud I'll post a link here.

Yes I did, got an email back asking for links etc and then another one this morning saying it willl be played tomorrow! We googled the station schedule and taking into account the time difference we think it'll be around 3am - DOH!

We did hear it at 3.30 am - will repeat on Wednesday at 9am onwards. They played 'Love Me back'.
Got an email this morning saying it has been selected for the top 5 for September and voting will be on Facebook starting next Sunday at some unearthly hour. It's going to be a vote per day rule, so please forgive me in advance for posting it when the time comes.

Re Hana Smyth, I am beginning to fear it may have been a bit of a con. They still haven't heard anything and I emailed the mag and asked them who the winner was and haven't had a reply. Grrrrrr.

Well done! I must admit that I have never been up early (late?) enough to hear Flo's songs on there. You are a much better mum than me

I have heard that one of Flo's songs is up for Top 5 too. It's called Crazy World and I haven't shared it anywhere yet, but the station put it out with the interview they did with her recently. So I'll vote for you if you'll vote for us!
