DD is on her second round of auditions too. She is applying for musical theatre degrees and diplomas. I think that she is waiting until Xmas to put her forms in but I am nervous already!

Yes, DS is applying around Christmas, except for RADA whose audition fees go up from £45 to £80 if you apply after 19/12!! His drama workshop teacher encourages them to apply around this time so that speeches/songs are practiced as much as possible before auditions.

I have to say we feel better about our 9 (which everyone was saying was far too many) hearing about your 11  #-o :)

All of ours are between 29th Nov & 17th Dec and I can't wait for them to be over - I had a very embarrassing melt-down at work today

Thanks for all the good wishes & I send them out again to everyone auditioning along with some rescue remedy, chocolate and wine (but only for those old enough ;) )

Good luck to all those going through the audition process. I know exactly how you're feeling. Just enjoy these auditions and think of them more as a workshop - definitely worked for my ds. Helped him with the nerves hugely and to relax and enjoy the whole process.
All new to me!

I just wanted to post a big congratulations for a friends dd who has just found out that she has been accepted at Italia Conti for the 3yr Performing Arts dip and extended BTec. Sounds like a great course and we all wish her loads of love and luck. =D> :D She may look on here so well done Dawn and H.

DD has had 2 offers

One from the local level 3 6th form college (auditioned today)

The other is a pre-voc from performers (which we probably can't afford)

So we have both cheered up a bit as there is now a nice safe (if extremely difficult to get to) option

Oh well done to her Katymac, I was wondering how they were going. Glad to hear of some successes already =D> =D> =D>

How's the stamina holding out (for both of you)? How many to go?
He could go and he could shine, not just stay here counting time,

Her stamina is fine - I'm knackered

We have Urdang & Bird before Christmas, Italia Conti after & hopefully Brit

We've done 6!! Or maybe she's done 6 & went along too and got completely exhausted!!
