Thanks have you found a house yet?

Noooo DD doesn't want to go into any of the independent student halls, and tbh they are very expensive with most being well over £200 per week.

She has made friends online with a boy starting the same course and they've agreed to house-share, so I think they need to get a couple of others now - she knows 2 people still waiting for audition results so is hoping they get in so can share, alternatively there seems to be a lot of house-sharing being arranged via the Urdang Facebook group.

There are plenty of houses to share coming up for rent but they are available immediately and get snapped up, so I think it is too early to sort anything out as we don't want to have to pay rent over the summer. Our eldest dd has been a student in London for the last 3 years so we sort of know what to expect in terms of property and speed of the rental mark - but still it would be nice to know it was sorted

I was such a wuss!! But we spoke to the landlady this morning & I feel a bit better

Hey everyone. Haven't been on here for a while. Just catching up with everything. I hope everyone gets their accommodation sorted out soon. There's always something to worry about isn't there?

My DD is off to do a degree in Musical Theatre at GSA in September. We're very lucky because they have accommodation on the university campus.

Sorry Carrie I missed that question she is about 2.25 hrs by car and 4 by train

Just wanted to say congratulations to all your DC and you, for supporting them through all the auditions. DD1 and I have been lurking on the threads and quietly cheering you all on!
I hope they are all very happy on their new courses
