It is also worthwhile going to the shows of the colleges you are interested in to see what they produce.

We have a few open days planned.
At £35 - £45 per audition I'm not risking early application in case she doesn't like the feel of the place !

Urdang open day was great.
Had a good look around and the demonstration of work was excellent.

Anyone dc doing Laine auditions half term or xmas hols? Dd is really excited as she will be helping out as one of the first year student helpers - can't believe this was us a year ago and we're now nearly at first half term ....... where did the time go!

Its a bumpy year for those doing GCSE and AS or A levels but I don't know of anyone that isn't now having the time of their life so hang in there! x

Aw Katymac, I'm sure your dd will still want your support with it all, and you'll be making sure everything is running as smoothly as it can for her.

Ah yes good idea Pearl - it was dds first choice too so she is very very lucky and having the time of her life

Katy try not too feel sad as carrie said dd will still need you just as much for support just think of it as one less thing for you to do and hopefully a little less stressful than last year

Will dd be home for half term? Hope so and you can do lots of nice things together x

We are at the Urdang open day tomorrow and then DD does the pre-audition course there at half term. If anyone has any tips for the course - do share. Have only applied for BRIT so far but after her course will put in applications for Bird, Laine, Urdang and Contis. She is applying for the diploma and would need a DADA so tough call. Hope to do all of them this side of Xmas. Laine in Xmas holidays sounds good for us. Trying not to take too much time off school.
