Many thanks thats useful.
Hoping as a few funding offers seem to have arrived in the post today, that some interest from new Urdang students will start to filter through on here soon.

We are off to visit Chester House in the morning, before handing over deposit I'm sure it will be as good as it sounds

We went to look round Chester house yesterday. It's in a lovely leafy area. Lots of nice bars and restaurants on the high street. Feels safe. The accommodation itself is great. Lots of communal space to mix. Look like there will be a mix of LSC Urdang Mount View and Italia conte students. Alison is very approachable and I'm sure will help if any issues arise. The food choices look great too. Easy commute to LSC and back home. I am more than happy for my DD to live there and she is too. It's of course my own personal opinion but I hope that helps x

Me and DD stayed a night at Chester house on Tuesday night as we were in London for 2 days. Alison showed us round and was very friendly and helpful. Everywhere was very clean tidy and organised. Excellent communal facilities. The rooms were standard student rooms but again spotlessly clean. Showers and toilets also smart and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a very good cooked breakfast, good choice of cereals, as much toast as you could eat and an attractive dining area. We couldnt fault it .
Buses are easy and plentiful right outside Chester house. We took 134 into central London. Muswell Hill a very nice area. Very happy for DD to live there.

Visited Chester House this morning and also followed the bus route to LSC, we found it very clean and tidy and the rooms a fairly decent size and ensuite bathroom clean and tidy and there was a really relaxed atmosphere DD definitely going to be staying there from September and deposit paid :D

Hello Blackswan. I believe your ds is 16 and going to Urdang - mine too. Just paid for him to stay at Chester House too. I think there are going to be quite a few from Urdang in September. Does your son know about the free bus travel! Is it his first time away from home?

Hello, my DS also has a room booked at Chester House. He will be 18 in August and is going to Mountview in September. He will be moving in on the 13th September. He is planning on taking his bike so he can cycle to Mountview across Alexandra Park. It is lovely that he will be meeting so many of your DC going to other schools. One of the things he is most excited about is the dance studio at Chester House!

Hello JackieP sorry for the delayed response, this will be the furthest my son has been away from home but no not his first time away as he boarded throughout his secondary school years. Thanks yes we are aware of the free bus for under 18 year old students but we think they need to resident in London before they can apply - is that right? Hopefully this will save a significant amount over the next 3 years for many of us? My DS will be just 17 when he starts and will be moving into Chester House on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August, as Urdang Academy has an early term start of the 2nd September so it makes sense for my hubby and i to use the Bank Holiday break to help move him into his new accommodation at Chester House. Is anyone else planning to do the same over?
What type of accommodation has everyone gone for? We have gone for a single without en suite to try and keep the cost down for now.
All best wishes to all parents, it would be good to hear a shout out from any Urdang Parents, just to get a sense of how many students will be able to travel together to the studios?
My son has made contact on FB with a number who were looking at Chester House but i am not sure how many decided on it in the end?
