Oh my goodness, DD has been offered the degree at Millenium!!! . I am so pleased for her, but slightly confused as she applied for the diploma!! I hadn't even looked at the degree as she won't have turned 18 by September, so am trying to get my head around it. The letter says we have to accept by 19th Dec with £75 admission fee, which is non-refundable. Those of you who have been there and done this, do you have to pay this every time to secure a place? This is going to give her so much confidence for the remaining auditions, I can't quite believe it. Hooray!!!

And yes I think all the colleges ask for a non returnable deposit to hold a place. Good luck for the rest of your DD's auditions. xxx

To answer your question, I think most schools ask you to pay a deposit to secure a place. LSC doesn't though and they consider it bad that other schools do. They said to me that we should be able to wait until all the offers are in to commit so they keep your place until May or June if I remember well.

Bird said they don't ask for payment to secure the place and they felt it was bad form to request it.
