That's interesting to know, thanks Katymac! Other who have done the Millennium audition, when they stipulate a short song and monolouge, exactly how short do you think they mean? Was anyone cut off during their performances, or did your DC's take cut down versions for this particular audition?

DS auditioned at Millennium last week - his song got cut short, so I wouldn't take anything much longer than 2 mins. They also did some scale work with him. This morning he got an offer for the degree course!! He's very happy

Dd received an unconditional offer from LCM this morning for the BA MT, lots more auditions to go but it is such a relief to know she has somewhere for September and she really liked the school/people at audition.

Has anyone done the Cambridge Bodyworks audition? What does it involve? I can't find any info on their website.

my dd is in the 2nd year at Bodyworks on the MT course and absolutely loving it..
From what I remember there is a ballet assessment, a jazz assessment, a singing assessment and an acting assessment. Obviously you need to prepare a monologue and a couple of songs. Then there was an interview with the principal and other staff members and I think a medical examination.
It is very hard work and dd comes home absolutely shattered but she wouldn't have it any other way. Bodyworks is one of the smaller colleges with a wonderful family feel to the place.

Anyone else going for Bodyworks?

Dd2 is auditioning for Bodyworks on 1st February

My DD is on the Foundation course at Bodyworks and doing Level 3 BTEC Performing Arts alongside the foundation syllabus.
She is auditioning for 3 years elsewhere at their insistence which I think is commonplace with 'foundies' everywhere but her heart, head and feet are firmly in Cambridge.

If anyone has questions about the Foundation course there I will be happy to help ( and recommend strongly if this an option for your DC )

Arts Ed do recalls on the same day as the first round. At the recall point there is also an interview. Worth having a couple of songs with you too. The first round is with everyone and the afternoon was more individual where the monologues are performed and more direction with singing. The whole day was very relaxed. Best thing is to go along and enjoy the experience and anything else is a bonus. Good luck.
