Sorry it's a no Katymac. Hope she's ok to put it behind her and move on to the next one. DD has done 9 so far with 1 to go! 3 offers, 4 nos and 2 waiting to hear. The nos do seem to get easier as she goes through them, but fingers crossed for an offer soon. :) :)

I have been reading the posts on here over the last few weeks and I really feel for all of you and your DCs going through this. A couple of months ago my 17 yo, maths genius DD announced she wants to act! I am one year away from all this having, up to now, been looking at courses for actuaries and accountants!

My DS (13) has been acting professionally since he was 9 but with my DD it was always just school productions with choir and ballet as hobbies. I now face the prospect of having both my DCs in the most tricky industry they could have chosen and am steeling myself to support them both through the coming years.

We have told DD that we will support her 100% BUT we are insisting she goes for a degree course - even her GCSE drama teacher wrote her a note saying 'get a degree'. It seems to us that, in today's job market, your opportunities are severely limited without one.

The very best of luck to all your DCs and to all you NAPMs - 'illegitimis non carborundum' as they say
