Well, that’s all 4 auditions & 1 recall done, & results in. 3 offers ( Bird, Laine, Performers) & a waiting list place(Urdang) . ☺️
2 are probably not going to be considered further by Dd, but Bird and Urdang are both favourites, so lists are being compiled! 🙈
Good luck to everyone still auditioning, and thanks for help & advice offered to us so far. ☺️

Hi

Anyone have any details on D and B? DD had an audition for the diploma (she is 16) last week, and has been asked to go back for a recall audition middle of May? Thinking for the scholarship places? It’s the day before her GCSE’s start though, so we’re unsure on what to do. Any advice would be great fully recieved

Thanks x

They took part in a 'reality documentary' tv show a few years ago which was really slammed on here. I was one of the very few (maybe the only one -lol) who didn't see it the same way others did. Reality shows are subject to much editing and will have had scenarios thrown their way to make for 'good for TV viewing' From memory I *think* it was called 'Stage school' and on E4. If you flick through the pages on here you might find old threads about it. Having said all that I can't recall one incidence since when I've opened up a theatre program (and I mean local and touring not just West End) and seen that one of the cast has trained there. Obviously their graduates must go on to do something. Do they have an alumni destination on their website?

We auditioned 18th Laine and they said hopefully within two weeks. We are also still waiting for GSA and that’s been 8 weeks now

I don’t know about Laines but just to say we are also finding the waiting agonising!!!
Not sure what’s going on with GSA. I know when my daughter booked her recall there were only two dates to choose from - this Saturday and next Saturday. Who knows what’s happening!

I’ll be honest, she’s not expecting anything from GSA given how small the year is, but a no would be nice, she sent that off 6 weeks ago, Laines she did on 16th, but with Bird, Performers, Wilkes, Urdang she heard either on the day or within a couple of days… hopefully soon so she can move on! 🤞🏼

Hi Pinkstargazer12 and FiFiD, I totally agree with you, the waiting is the absolute worst part! My daughter did this all last year with video auditions and the waiting for each result was so hard. She's now at Urdang on the degree. I would say it took her the first term to find her feet and her friendship group but she's very happy there. The process of video auditions and the average wait of 8 weeks for some replies, a few took 12 long weeks, by the end I had extra grey hairs. All the very best to your girls and congrats on any offers they have already had. It will be nice to think ahead that by September they will all be settled in to their new schools.

Hi there, my DD heard back within a few days from Laine. With GSA it took a while to get the recall news then the result just under a week. Good luck and I totally agree, the waiting is a killer!

Hi, me and DD know someone who did the foundation MT there last year. She is now on an acting degree at a drama school in England. She loved her time in Barcelona and the course. From the few clips I did see put on social media I didn't think the dancing was that strong at foundation level, the girl we know is definitely more of an actor/singer

We had booked DD on a summer school there for summer 2020 which of course didn't go ahead. It's back on for this year and currently considering it depending on what other outcomes are.

DD was interested for foundation too but I had concerns about her being in a different country to us with lockdowns, so she scrapped her ideas to apply. We couldn't afford for her to do the degree there due to no funding, but as yours is an International student this is something I realise you'll need to take into consideration anyway.

What a coincidence, got the Laines letter today, she got a place. She’s so happy, just the little question of fees!! Any advice there would be greatly appreciated!
Meanwhile, we still wait for GSA!!
