well done all, who have got offers - having been thinking about you all
and for those still going through the process... keep hanging on in there !!

MY Dd1 is going to audition again next year. If no offers she will stay for the 2nd year of the Musical Theatre Diploma and then top up to a BA (Hons) locally and then try for Accredited Post Grad courses (her Singing teacher did this). Maybe a different way of getting in but she can work as a Lifeguard around the training and won't have so much of a debt at the end (that's her idea anyway!).
Just wanted to reassure people that not getting offers isn't the end of the world and there are many options out there.
Just have to sort Dd2 now!

Congratulations on the offers, it all seems to work out in the end.

Dd LOVED Bodyworks and was offered a DaDA there last year. Its definitely where she would have chosen if she hadn't got the Laine offer.

I'm trying to keep up with all your news. It's really kind of you all to share your experiences. We are a long way off from having to think about any of this, but I am totally in awe of your DCs hard work, commitment and the sheer talent and dedication that shines through. They are a huge credit to you and you must all be the most awesome parents for supporting them through all this.

My DD has heard from Bird and they've offered her a Pre Vocational course which isn't a degree so not what she wants. She said at least it wasn't a flat no. To be honest she doesn't seem bothered. She was a little concerned after the audition that there wasn't much attention given to the acting and singing so she was worried that might be the case generally. She may have got totally the wrong impression though. She had her GSA audition Friday and we're waiting to see if she has a Recall. To go there would be her absolute dream. And we have the Urdang recall audition to go to later this month.

I can't believe it....DD has 6 auditions to go from her original 8, two tihs weekend, and has come down with a virus AND been told she has asthma, which she has never had before! She is missing precious training time from her pre-voc course which no doubt will have drastic effects on her auditions....

Trying so hard to remain optimistic! So hard though, one of the auditions this weekend is Urdang, for which she was offered a place 2 years ago and deferred as she wasn't offered full funding. The other is Millenium. Maybe I can rearrange Millenium audition, but it seems from Urdang website, this is the second to last audition date!

Not sure what to do, just keeping fingers crossed for her that she perks up. Its horrible when she's away and not here for me to help her when she's poorly and now it may be that all her hard work goes in vain. Gutted.

I'd contact the schools and explain the situation....if it's not possible to rearrange at least they'll know your dd's under the weather.

JayLou, thanks. I did contact one and rearranged for next week. The other is Urdang and she wants to go ahead with it and is feeling a little better, but you are right it wouldn't hurt to inform them she isn't at her peak of performance. x

Oh good luck - it's Sunday isn't it (DD isn't taking anything to microwave for lunch as it's always so busy on an audition day)?

Hi Katymac, we are not sure when her London Studio audition is.....the email went to DD and she thinks it is tomorrow, but there is confusion over it (!!!) Trying to find out directly to college, awaiting a call back. her Urdang audition is Sunday. Millenium is next Wednesday. Fingers crossed she feels well enough to give her best.

Yep DD is at Urdang on Sunday - she attends a Dance Company/Associate scheme there on Sundays

Millennium is a nice audition - DD enjoyed it
