Nice to have a choice, how much is the foundation course? They are usually very good but no guarantee of a place the following year.

Oh I know, but at leasyt she got an 'offer' they didn't laugh & send us back to Norfolk with our tail between our legs.

The Btec is a real possibility - it means she stays at home; but it's a bit of a faff getting there in the morning best estimate so far is a 2.5 hour commute (each way)

Glad to hear of some positive news coming in for your DD Katymac and lets hope for more offers to come. If eventually the Btec is the one she chooses I would talk to the college and see if they have any local lodgings so she can at least stay Mon-Thurs and save the commute. Many FE colleges do have accommodation or links to accommodation but do not publicise it much as the majority of their students are from the local area. DDs friend has a long commute for her Btec but soon after starting found a friend whose house she now stays at twice a week. That sort of thing might also be a possibility.

I'll ask around, the Traveline website makes it nearly 2.5 hours for a 40 minute journey but my dad is investigating possibly villages she could be dropped off at

I left her in London tonight, on a tube - I got off to change line & just left her - I felt awful and weepy....she says she was fine

I'm not surprised that she is tired - I'm exhausted just reading about it all.

DD just had her first rejection from there

Yes, DD auditioned last Monday. Her friends who auditioned Tuesday and Wednesday have been offered a place too. I wouldn't give up Katymac; my DD auditioned 2 years ago and was offered places at Millennium and Performers (but no DADa), foundation at Laines and Bird and rejected by Urdang. She decided to do her A levels and change dance school so she now has more options, and her technique has improved immensely.
