Yes she got through to the interview stage. Exciting \:D/ She said they told her she did a good audition but she felt they were a bit concerned about her age. She was the youngest to be asked to stay for an interview. Very happy she got this far. We will just have to wait and see now.

Thank you very much!!! It is exciting but also we're trying not to get our hopes up too much. DD said they still have about 100 auditionees to see in recall auditions and so at DD's recall they were told they may be put on a reserve or waiting list even if they do get through. I was wondering if this was because they were running out of places. But I don't know. Just speculation.

Any news yet? Very Positive that your dd got to the interview stage.
My dd's friend didn't even get that far, fortunately he has 2 other offers so quite chilled about it all i think.
How did your dd find the dance side of things?I know he felt the routine was fairly difficult.
My dd's recall is on 12th April and of course like hundreds of others it's her favorite place.
All we can do is hope and all they can do is their best. :)

No news yet Tara1. I wonder how long they will take to let her know. She forgot to ask. My DD found the dancing part really easy. But it's all relative to how much dance training you've had. Her friend found it harder but he hadn't had as much training. Her Urdang recall was the day before so compared to that the GSA dance work shop she found easy. She said she really enjoyed it actually.

Good luck to your DD for her recall. Has she chosen her song yet? :)

I'm sure she will have chosen her song, sounds awful that I'm not sure what it is but she's up in Liverpool and I'm in the midlands.Am I right in thinking certain songs on the list are best avoided/ overdone? Urdang, very impressed, I'm guessing your dd is a strong dancer? I would say that dance is possibly my dd's weakness but you never know. :)

Tara1 if you look up this thread there was a song Oscar's DS said was overdone at his recall audition. At my DD's recall she said mostly everyone had chosen different songs. It's so hard to know what to do for the best really. I think you have to go with what you can do really well and with what suits you. It's crazy how competitive it is though. I've noticed a lot of students from BOA in Birmingham are getting places at GSA so that must be a good course.

Ds confident that the interview stage will lead to an offer or place on the reserve list so try not to worry. Ds had a two week wait to hear through Ucas . Waiting is the worst bit .
