Yes, they should definitely contact them. Was this for AVT or the diploma/degree?
she has checked the web site and it says if you haven't heard it likely on wait list and won't hear until May or June until all offers received back.
Ahh, okay. It’s a little unfair that she wasn’t told that she was on the waitlist. To be waiting all this time without an answer is really hard. Fingers crossed once the recalls get their results she’ll hear something.
Yes at least Bird tell you in the email .....I think she is emailing to check as just assuming because she's heard nothing.

DD tells me this course is closing - and a friend said the same. Anyone know why? I thought it was considered a decent option as an alternative to 6th form. Curious.

I'm actually surprised it got funding in the first place as the qualification they offer is only equivalent to 2 A levels and usually they have to be the three A level equivalent.
As a private institution it wold be very difficult to get state funding, they'd have had to go through a lot of hoops or a state regulated provider otherwise every private school/college would do it.

Surely it’s about the number of UCAS points it’s attracts ? D* D* attracts 112 UCAS points , the same as 3 c’s at Alevels .

No, it’s to do with the size of the qualification and Total Qualification Time including credits & Guiding Learning Hours.
