Yes, my DD has had the same date sent through. Not sure if she will do it though, as she has her first A level exam the next day.

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
That’s a late date. As you point out starts to mix it with A levels which is not great.
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
2 years ago when my DD got recall for IC foundation she found out late March (am sure of date cos it was her birthday and we were having a meal out) and then her actual audition date was 1st June. She did find out outcome following day though (a yes which she subsequently rejected in favour of elsewhere). Just thought I'd let you know that it isn't that unusual for IC to have late audition dates
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Apparently DD informs me she is not going to any recalls. She is going to accept GSA Foundation. I thought she may do the IC MT/Acting one for BA, but she met some graduates today from IC , who expressed concern over the new course - no idea quite what, but as GSA is her ‘dream’ she’s accepting it.
Of course this means we do it all again next year. Sort of glad it’s decided as can get on with the planning.
She is however emailing Rose B to say it’s been difficult deciding, but she thinks a foundation year would be good for her, can she audition again next year. They had made an unconditional offer, but think it’s too much to hope they would hold it for her.

That’s great she’s made a decision she is happy with. She can now leave the stress behind and get on with looking forward. I am sure she will have a wonderful year at GSA.K8t wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:02 pm Apparently DD informs me she is not going to any recalls. She is going to accept GSA Foundation. Good luck to your dd, it’s good that she knows what she wants and that she’s made her decision.K8t wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:02 pm Apparently DD informs me she is not going to any recalls. Dd has decided to do the final recalls for RCS and Oxford Level 6 diploma, for which she applied for foundation but after the recall she was asked to do final round for the diploma. She had her RB final recall yesterday, now we wait. I didn’t think she would do the Oxford or RCS recall after having a GSA offer, but she wants to see how it goes and consider all her options.
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Thank you. I think it’s wise to check the others out and in some ways feel DD should, but I know even if she was offered IC or a Mointview after recalls, her heart would want GSA, even if just foundation, so there’s no point really.Ditzi wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:40 pmGood luck to your dd, it’s good that she knows what she wants and that she’s made her decision.K8t wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:02 pm Apparently DD informs me she is not going to any recalls. So pleased she has made a decision. My son did the GSA foundation several years ago and loved every minute of it.K8t wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:02 pm Apparently DD informs me she is not going to any recalls. She should also be able to get a room in halls so takes the hassle out of accommodation as well.

How did RB go? We’re also waiting for the outcome of this one. How many were in her final? Did they pull anyone for a chat at end?Ditzi wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:40 pmGood luck to your dd, it’s good that she knows what she wants and that she’s made her decision.K8t wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:02 pm Apparently DD informs me she is not going to any recalls. She said there were around 30 in total (a guess) quite a large group compared to other schools she thought. She feels she could have done better inLizzyBee wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 1:58 pmHow did RB go? We’re also waiting for the outcome of this one. How many were in her final? some areas but she did the best she could in the moment. The fact she cares so much about this school made her feel more nervous. I think overall it went well, she had a lot of fun and liked the teachers, particularly the year 1 course leader. They all finished at the same time and were told if they feel they need to, they will do some zoom interviews within the next couple of weeks. I was expecting them to do interviews on the day, so that makes me a bit sceptical. Did they keep people behind when your dd auditioned? They also said they’ll give the results after 11th of May auditions but before the 16th deadline. They also said they accept 45, which is more than I expected, but I wonder how many of those places are still available. I find it hard to believe they haven’t made any offers yet, I remember seeing a post on social media around October time last year from an acting coach to say one of their students had an offer.
Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
I hate the waiting! My daughter found it hard to read the final, she got a strong positive reaction in the 2nd round, but didn’t feel there was much opportunity to interact with the faculty on the final with the format. There was some people pulled for a chat at the end. My daughter didn’t, so who knows??Ditzi wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:29 pmShe said there were around 30 in total (a guess) quite a large group compared to other schools she thought. Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
Well that’s it with regards to auditions for us - last one was today. No offers on the table yet so it’s a very nervous wait for these last 3. Fingers crossed for an offer of something somewhere from one of these.
The waiting really is the worst!

Re: Auditioning for 2024 entry
I totally get you! The waiting is so hard! Does your dd have any more auditions to do, any offers? Mine has an offer from GSA and two more auditions to do, so whatever happens she’s got somewhere to go. That takes some of the pressure off, but she’s always wanted RB so if she doesn’t get in it will hurt, especially as she knows she’s definitely going somewhere else. She wouldn’t turn down an offer at GSA for the off chance she might get in next year.LizzyBee wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 10:02 pmI hate the waiting! Fingers crossed they get a place, but like you said, my dd had a strong positive feeling after the second round, she’s not so sure this time.
