Oh Katymac, I'm sorry to hear that

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
Still no news for my DD regarding the Urdang degree waiting list. I have been told there are still places available, which is worrying me that she hasn't been offered anything :-( the cut off date for ucas is 8th May, so guess we will know, either way, next week.
We were supposed to be at the Tiffany Theatre College "Stage Scholarship" audition tomorrow so another audition missed due to dd's fracture :-(
Just looking into other colleges as other options........has anyone any experience of The Brighton Academy or MGA Performing Arts in Edinburgh please?

Hi ellis951,
one of DD's friends is on the reserve list for GSA. He had an email from them yesterday saying that because of the UCAS deadline on 8th May they will have to reject him on UCAS but they said he will still be on their reserve list and could be offered a place! Seems complicated and muddled doesn't it, but your DD may still get a place.

Hi Katymac,
Sorry to hear the news about Millennium. When did you get your e-mail. We are still waiting to hear. I wonder if they send them out alphabetically? We are near the end. I'm sure this week will bring the news. I will remain to keep everything crossed.
Did your daughter like Millennium? I can't remember from your posts where she has other offers. I am very new to posting on here.

ellis951,
I know 4 students that go to TBA (The Brighton Academy) and know another 5 that have been accepted for September 2014.
It is a fairly new college (3 years old) but their first year graduates have just done well, with the majority gaining agents.
My DD has done taster days and summer, Easter schools there and enjoyed them very much. I also attended the Open Day and was impressed with the students they showcased.
It is a very small college but the training seems very good.
Certainly worth a try!

Sorry for the no outcomes from Millenium - is that a definite no or a 'on the reserve/waiting list' in case one becomes available. There are still plenty of people awaiting results and holding onto more than one offer so there will be movement on waiting lists. I heard of a girl getting a DADA at Laines on Saturday and I know she has 2 DADA offers already so someone is going to be getting good news next week.
Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
Thankyou carriecrafts - it is all very confusing :-( I just cant understand why, if there are still degree places available, why are we stilll on a waiting list. It is agonising just waiting for a yes or no!
Dancecat21, thanks for your comments about TBA. After looking on the website, the faculty look good, its just a little worrying when a college isnt so well established. But, if current graduates are successful getting agents, then they are obviously getting good training and at the end of the day, thats what we all are aiming for. x

Thank you, we are still in shock as she wasn't expecting it. She has been offered some funding at Urdang also but she thinks she will say no to that although she did really like the college. Can't understand why Bird take so long, surely by the time they have made their mind up who they want most people would have had to commit to other offers they have had!
Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
Fantastic news megmar - well done to your dd you must both be thrilled
Are you still waiting to hear from Laine - apparently some people have heard? Dd has a friend who is still waiting to audition at both Bird and Urdang - what a very confusing system this is
at least you can relax now while you wait for Bird

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
well done Megmar...can I ask when you got the phone call?
So nice to hear the good news

Congratulations Megmar, great news

Re: Lots of luck to all auditionees! & a place to put result
She got the call on Saturday morning from the principal of Performers. She is still waiting to hear from Laine, but had already decided she preferred Performers or Urdang so not to bothered with what they come back with. Its late to audition when GCSE, AS and A levels are looming, know that my dd would not have been able to deal with the stress of it all. I don't know of many people that she to have been offered the diploma at Bird so far this year
