Problems with contemporary and street as in that she didn't like or that she found very difficult? My DD had never done either of these styles before the open day but really enjoys them now. Street is only one class a fortnight but there are several contemporary classes a week. The content of the contmeporary class is very similar to that part of the audition. Atmosphere wise - my DD found on her taster day that a lot of people already knew each other as there were 'street dance schools' and ballet schools attending and not just individuals but obviously she loved the school. I'm glad your DD enjoyed it.

We travelled up after school & it was about 300 miles! So I think she was tired - she was impressed with the warm up, and the contemporary was good but she was tired then I think Street threw her a bit
Plus it felt like 'school' but she soon came round with Jazz/MT etc - as I said it's number 2 on the list, so doing well

Do any of the schools approach people during the insight/taster days and suggest that they actually audition?

I don't know - I'm assuming DD wouldn't be approached anyway as she is only yr 10

I've asked her CAT for help deciding which colleges she should think about auditioning for.
Is there anything else we should be asking?
