By all means you can ring, but they'll have a better idea where she sits on the list after the closing date on UCAS. The offers that are then not selected will be offered to the reserve list, so there a lot of movement, and it doesn't stop.! I would probably wait until then. Xx
Bird don't audition the current Foundation students until mid-May which is why they say the end of May for movement. As the Foundations are the last in the audition process that's when the firm offers are then made

The team at Bird are very friendly and helpful, but if the letters says end of May then I'd wait until then to call. Good luck

It's a nerve racking time and the waiting is a killer!! not knowing what their future holds for them over the next 12 months after years of training and hard work is enough to send us parents over the edge. Try and hold on in there, you've not much longer to wait, I'll be following your posts with crossed fingers, Xx

I am very happy to share with you all that DD's just got an offer for a BA Hons at Rose Bruford! We are all very chuffed as she's 16 and it was her first year auditioning. After a long series of nos since December, it's really nice to hear! Champagne!

No, you have to have finished secondary school, i.e. with A'levels or equivalent. Our 3 DDs went on to do a BA Hons before they were 18.

It is so hard getting no's, but this offer will be even sweeter for it. Huge congratulations to your DD! x

I thought this too, would be interesting to know if this is not the case though as my 2nd daughter also wants to follow this path (god help me) and is only 14 so would love to know if she could start a degree at 16 as I thought it was only diploma she could go for. Wonder if you can get a student loan under 18 though?

As I said higher up, having finished Secondary school allows you to go on to study a degree. My 2 eldest DDs started Uni as in Dance college at respectively 17 and 16. DD1 was offered a place at Chichester but went to LSC in the end. So did DD2. They both received Student Loans. DD3 has already done her SF application and there is no problem.
It's a common misconception and I know it has stopped people before. The colleges or unis simply put a few rules in place when the student is under 18. Spread the word!

Ooo this is a fab subject!!, knew you had to have the points.. A levels ect, very interesting to know about SF .. didn't think this was achievable before leaving school, I think it's due to most secondary schools not offering brighter kids the opportunity to complete. Both mine are very bright, but school unfortunately did not offer, only offered AS level in just maths, hence having both had to complete Btec level 3 extended in the subjects they were keen on. DS just finished masters after 6 years of study. VERY INTERESTING to know xx again fab well done to your dd xx

Very intriguing, will definitely be looking into this. Did your daughters still manage to get the sufficient number of UCAS points without doing their A Levels or further education? My 14yr old will be over the moon if she can audition at 16, I told her she couldn't as she'd need a student loan!
