Yep my thoughts exactly re GDPR - it says defer your application but what that means again I don't know - do they have to go through the entire process again or is their place kept until next year - I'm lucky my daughter has a Dada from Performers and really liked it there so she'll probably go there - what will you do - is your daughter on any other lists ? Its so tough and disappointing for them but as you say so many didn't even get on the reserve list who are very talented as I'm sure your daughter is so fingers crossed she gets a place somewhere she likes x

If you remember her bodyworks place was withdrawn (they have offered a 1 year level 4 intensive) and she is on the reserves for a degree place at Bird.

Thank you. This is awful. She is at her boyfriends and has been with his family for 4 weeks now. So I have had to talk to her on the phone and she is floods of tears. Sad times.

Very sorry to hear the disappointing news re Laine DaDas.
It’s so unprofessional re the data protection breach . I’m sure that many people would not like others to know where their dc had applied or if they had applied for a DaDa. Anyone receiving the email cc list might recognize other people’s names . There are huge fines for companies who are reported for breaching this . Just saying

Am so sorry for your daughter - its so disappointing for you all - I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed she gets Bird but would the option of deferring her place in Laine until next year be an option for her ?? And please tell her she did amazing to get offered a place as I know loads who didn't even get one x

We wouldn't be in any financially better position deferring it for a year. And thank you.

Why are Laine allowing the option of deferral for a year ? Is it to do with the Covid 19 situation?

They don't say - Considering your talent, if you are unable to join us this year, I hope you might consider deferring your application to next year.
That's the last part of the email - they also say their bursary assistance is no longer available so really not sure what's going on and if their intake is roughly the same - it was around 80 last year and 66 individuals got this email it's all a big strange that approx 14 either got a Dada or are on a reserve list - can only assume their intake is increased.

If you didn't get an email they you maybe one of the lucky ones who got a Dada though I do believe a lot of those have already received a phone call or you maybe lucky to be on the reserve list.

I am not even sure they are. I dont understand the phrasing. It says:-
Considering your talent, if you are unable to join us this year, I hope you might consider deferring your application to next year.
It sounds like they are saying apply again next year.
