DS theatre company were successful in getting the rights to perform this. What a fantastic opportunity it is. I have to say this is the best musical I have seen in the West End and ds is delighted   to have the chance to be in it.

Our local Youth Theatre company have also been given the rights & it is due to be staged in June 2010. DD is hoping to auditon for the part of Debbie, but she would be happy to be in it however big or small the part, it is such a fantastic show. :D :D

I think the audition process was set in stone by the West End team. DS had a fab weekend auditioning, even the ballet which he had never attempted before. Unlike previous productions they didn't get the opportunity to specify the part they wanted.

Bump!

Have just heard that Ds's dance school is doing this as well! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Would love to know what the audition process is that you mention oscar [-o< . Not sure what to say to ds but there is some mention of double casting.... any ideas about that?? Might they split the Billy role between a dancing boy and a singer/actor??

Good luck to all of those giving up their Easter holidays and weekends to rehearse for this. We are going to see a local Billy Youth Theatre show on Friday, and can't wait. What an experience!!!
