Hi everyone.
I was just wondering if anyone here is with Ray Knight Casting. How is it-do you get a lot of work from them? Are they very reputable? And how much would you recommend them?
Furthermore do they ONLY cast for extras and commercials or do they also cast for featured roles?
Many thanks in advance.

Ray Knight are one of the best and most popular extras agencys - difficult to get taken on as they are so popular. son has applied a couple of times but they seem to be always full and notnow taking people on until november (I think)

Thanks for that shortguy. Has your son ever had an interview with them? What was it like? And how was the application process?
Sorry for all the questions!
Many thanks in advance.
And also anyone else here who has had an interview etc with them if they could possibly post their experiences. Many thanks.

Thanks Shortguy and irishdancer.
I am all new to this business. Just spending infinite hours and hours trailing through the internet trying to find agents, agencies, casting calls etc. Its all so exhausting!
I will take all your advice into consideration and many thanks for the advice.

Thank you to everyone for their wonderful replies.
I was just wondering to those of you who have had their DD/DS, or yourself, for an interview with Ray Knight: Did you have to pay an up front fee on the day or do they take it out of your first job? And does that include the photos too?
Furthermore, for the photos do they put make up on for you such as concealer etc. or do you have to do that yourself?
Many thanks in advance.

Luck'n'Fate wrote:Hi KayeRR, do u have an interview with RKC? if so good luck
Dd been with them since Apr, and has been vry, vry lucky, and vry busy!! Shes been called every week since joining, but mainly wrks wknds and college hols. Shes met people on jobs who've told her that shes done really well, as some havent been called for wrk for mths, alot of them were quite surprised that shes had so much wrk thru them already! Shes having great time spending her summer hols on various sets/locations
At the interview the photographer took quite alot of pics, she had to have 3 different outfits, like smart, casual, sch girl etc.. the manager spke with her, about what shes doing at the moment etc.(shes at college), spke abt availability etc.. and basically signed her up, there and then. You need to bring proof of your N.I, and passport.
Once u get your first job, they deduct the money for your pics, and one-off joining fee. In total they take £40, frm your first job for the pics etc..
Didnt realise they get paid so much for walk-ons, extras etc

Dd bank acct looking very healthy lately

lol!
Good luck x
Thank you ever so much Luck'n'Fate for taking the time to answer my questions. Yes I do have an audition with them this month and am very excited/nervous!
Just one more question from me is: Do you have to pay anything on the actual day of the interview? Or is that what you meant by them taking it from your first job as a "one-off joining fee"? Does that get taken on the day or from your first job?
Many thanks in advance.
