VOCAL AUDITION AND REPERTOIRE MASTERCLASSES

How Very Music are pleased to announce a series of vocal audition and repertoire masterclasses, designed for young people who wish to audition for music and theatre schools, or who wish to gain experience in singing and performing.

The classes will be four hours long, including two fifteen minute breaks, and will be limited to a maximum of twelve students. The suggested age range is 14 - 20 years, but exceptions may be made where appropriate.

The masterclasses will be lead by Jodie Jacobs (Evita, We Will Rock You, Footloose, Little Shop of Horrors, Brenda Bly, The Wedding Singer, currently playing the lead in State Fair at the Trafalgar Studios) and musical director Andy Smith (Lion King, We Will Rock You, Les Mierables in Concert, Cats, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Thriller Live - currently musical director for the European tour of Buddy and the forthcoming National tour of Big, the musical).

Each student should bring a choice of at least two contrasting songs that they are familiar with to work on in the session. As well as work on their own songs, the students will watch and learn from each other's performances and the comments and advice received on them, and will also be invited to make constructive suggestions in order to help each other.

The cost of the Masterclass is £40 per student, payable in advance.
