As you can probably guess my dd and I are looking around at London schools who specialise in MT. Dd is 12.
Does anyone have children at any of the three West End Stage Academy Saturday schools who could advise me please? I would like to know e.g how big the classes are, opportunites to perform, what standard the pupils are, is it easy to get to etc. I would be looking at either Paddington or Islington, but anyone from the Bristol school may be able to help also.
Thanks.

Hi ob4
I've just signed my dd up for the Paddington classes as nearer to where we live. So we'll also be new. I have to say their brochure and site read very well. The 3 terms look amazing. Appreciate it's a little more expensive than the others, but we felt they were offering a lot and if they deliver then I think it represents good value. Hopefully dd will learn a lot and pick up some new skills. I looked at the summer school last year which seems to be a snapshot of their Saturday school but it was already full by the time I tried to book. My dd can't wait for the term to start, esp the circus skills lesson, lol. Anyhow I guess we're in the same boat as you
and will just have to give it a go. I'm afraid I don't know anyone who already goes. Hopefully see you there. All the best.

Thanks claret for replying. They do look good and I have sent off for a brochure. It would probably be the Paddington branch we would be looking at too, but both are a long way for us to travel. How old is your dd? The dilemma we have is that dd has unexpectedly been offered a place at another well known London MT organisation on a Saturday, but they do not have the same performance opportunities, and there is no acting tuition. It's proving difficult to turn down though!

Oh I see....we were on a waiting list for the one I think you're talking about!! So jumped at WES as it did seem so thorough and the itinerary looks amazing. Love the chance to perform and the fact that there are visiting professionals. I could be wrong but just feel it could be hugely beneficial and also tremendous fun. Also dd did an experience day at the other one last year and didn't like it so she wasn't keen when I told her she was on the waiting list, but really excited when we signed up for WES. DD is 9 so don't know if she'll be in your dd's group or not. Anyway let me know what you decide.
