SCREEN SCHOOL - Specialist training for young actors.

Screen School will be running a three day intensive screen acting course for 9-18 year olds lead by Olivier Award nominee Sonia Fraser and 'Never Let Me Go' children's acting coach Juliette Caton.

Casting Directors need you to be natural, genuine and yourself - but how do you do that whilst juggling nerves, a script, direction?....

■Are you keen to develop the acting skills needed to audition confidently for film and television roles?
■Would you like to know what casting agents and directors expect of you in an audition?

SCREEN SCHOOL three day intensive courses develop the essential knowledge, skills and screen acting techniques needed to deliver a credible performance for film and television.

•Learn how to interpret film and television scripts.
•Gain experience and confidence working with the camera.
•Develop your on-screen performance.
•Receive direction and coaching from industry professionals with years of acting, directing and casting experience.
•Find out what Directors and Casting Directors want from you in an audition situation.

Included in the course fee of £140 is a DVD Showreel and digital MP4 file of edited scenes that we shoot of you acting during the course which you can send to Agents & Casting Directors and upload online to youtube and spotlight.

Course Dates: 26th - 28th October 2010 (Half Term)
Course Times: 09:00 - 18:00 daily
Course Location: Reading Girls School, Northumberland Avenue, Reading, RG2 7PY. Accomodation can be arranged with local famillies who have children attending the course where the parents are Chaperone Licensed / CRB'd.
Course Tutors: Ben Ashton, Juliette Caton, Sonia Fraser plus leading casting directors and agents.
Course participants: must be 9-18 years of age with a desire to improve their screen acting technique.
Course Cost: £140 which includes 3 days tuition and a a DVD Showreel and digital MP4 file of edited scenes that we shoot of you acting during the course which you can send to Agents & Casting Directors and upload online to youtube and spotlight.

This looks interesting.... any napm's have experience of SOTA? Any info/PM's would be really welcome. :D

Isn't that School Of The Arts? Think they have a few branches in Bracknell and Windsor (perhaps more now). Don't know much more than that really but haven't heard anything bad about them. Have a look at the website. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Ben Ashton and Juliette Caton are known to us and Ben is a very good friend of my son so cant recommend them more highly

Sounds like another good course. Has anyone been on any of the workshops posted on this site?? It would be interesting to hear what people thought of the courses and which ones were the best so we could look out for them next year
