Hi everyone! I finally have a audition for an agency in October, but in the form of a workshop. Was wondering if anyone has had one of these before and could give me some advice? I know they're not going to be the same but maybe they could be similar. Also the address they gave me is in a primary school? Is that normal?

Thanks!

Had one yesterday !
Workshops are fun! Don't be nervous! You'll meet other kids in your position!
Just practice Reading scripts so you'll learn a skill of cold Reading,
What agency is it for?
As for at a school. Yes that's fine properly have a big hall to fit everyone in!

My DD joined her agency through a work shop. They started off with some games like wink murder and splat, then they did some role play where they had to act the same scene in different film genre, eg queueing in a cafe in the style of:- period drama, harry potter, soap, murder mystery etc. They each had to have a one minute monologue prepared too and were taken out of the group one at a time and filmed doing their monologue and asked to talk about themselves (which my daughter is verty good at!). She is only seven but thoroughly enjoyed herself. Most of the others were teenagers but they catered well fior my DD I thought and included her in every aspect.
Good luck and just enjoy the experience - they are looking for natural adaptable actors not O.T.T, and want to see how you get on with the others too.

That's great news - hope it goes well for you. It's definitely worth having a monologue or two prepared. Always useful for when you get an audition! DD has a couple up her sleeve so there's no panic when you get called for an audition!
