work experience??

Im in year 11 and i am looking for places to go for a week of work experience. i am really passionate about theater and the arts so if you have any connections or ideas for work experience some where near surrey i would be very interested. Thanks xoxo

Can't give you any specific recommendations but ring round your local theatres, drama classes etc. DD did work experience helping at a local drama summer school over the holidays and really enjoyed it and got a lot of of it. The first week she was assistance director, the second week she did all the costumes and props and some choreography.

The problem sometimes with work experience is that schools can sometimes be inflexible expecting everyone do to it in a certain week which may not be appropriate or convenient for the employer.
I have to refuse all requests as in term time I do most of my admin work late at night, then classes are held evenings and weekends.
I did however take someone on unofficial work experience during the summer workshop. They got a real feel for what goes on behind the scenes and how everything is put together.
Theatres are inundanted with requests and have to work to their schedule too.
