I don't have knowledge or experience, but honestly I'd say "don't bother". These types of site keep springing up and I can't see them ever being worth the money!
The following is just my opinion. I do not know for certain that what I say here is true. However, all of my experience in the industry suggests to me that it is! I'd be more than happy to debate it with the people who run the infoshark site.
I would very much doubt that they have access to information about auditions for paid work - whatever they claim. If there is information about paid work at proper industry rates and you can submit for it via the site, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be completely ignored by someone doing the casting and that they won't have sanctioned its publication on the site!If there is no kind of "quality control" over who can join, then the people with properly paid work to offer will give this type of site a wide berth. Any information they do have on the site is likely to have been copied from someone else's site, without the blessing of a Casting Director.
If you're looking for unpaid opportunities like student films etc there will be much cheaper ways to find it. If you're looking for "be on a TV programme" type opportunities then there is usually a way to find this sort of thing for nothing.
The information on the home page tells me everything I would need to know about the site:
As soon as you see the question "Wannabe famous?", you know to run a mile.
The idea that you would have access to casting information for paid speaking parts on TV on such a site strikes me as ludicrous.
Out of curiosity, I looked up one of the actors who has given the site a "testimonial". Interestingly, he doesn't list his "several speaking parts in a top UK TV drama" on his Casting Call Pro profile - although equally interestingly he does list his numerous performances with an amateur company. Tells its own story methinks!
