Hi. We're looking to go to London at the end of the month for mine and my ds' birthday. We want to see Wicked and Billy Elliot. Does anyone know of any good deals on for these shows at mo? ( I've checked some websites but most of them are still asking for top price) Would i be able to pick tickets up for these shows on the day-using the booths at Leicester Square ?
Also, does Billy elliot havea lot of language in it? I'm taking a 9 yr old with me .Thanks xx

Hi, we Came back from London on the 22nd & from 10am on the day of each performance tickets were available for Billy Elliot & Wicket at £36-£40 at the booths on leicester Square.( we checked every day for 10 days & these 2 shows were reduced every time) I decided against Billy Elliot in the end as i have a nearly 8yr old & the language is bad in parts. Good luck with prices- there were quite a few which each day were reduced. We saw Legally Blonde, Phanton &railway children which were all reduced. Really wanted lion king but was told they are never reduced, & had to pay full to see Les Mis (again) as it doesnt ever seem to be reduced either!!Good Luck & Enjoy!
Oh I should add all seats were center(ish) stalls & we had great sight lines.

if you are traveling to london on the virgin trains then they have a lot of 2 for 1 offers on theatre tickets.
they also have the 2 for 1 on loads of other things as well! may be worth a look.
im not sure if it is still on but hilton hotels were also half price.

With regards to Lion King for future reference we saw it from the £20 seats- back 3ish rows of the top circle and I thought the seats were good value. Great if you are on a budget and not fussed about the elephant.

Thanks for your replies. I think we're going to take the chance and get some tickets when we get there. Just wasnt sure if we could pick them up any cheaper. Like you say-some of the shows don't seem to reduce the price-we also had to pay full price when we went to see the Lion King. Thanks for your help

The day seats on row B are excellent. Very popular with Billy Elliot fans. You can get picked on at the start of the second half though- just a bit of stand-up humour. Not sure what the exact price is at the moment as haven't used one for a while. I'm a bit vague about whether you can get them before the day as well. Try ringing the box office to ask.
I took my ds and dd for the first time when they were 8 and 6 and the bad language went over their heads. Don't let it stop you going! My ds danced round the streets of London for an hour after seeing it the first time. Brilliant!

I bought my in laws tickets for Xmas (they are going next week) as a vastly reduced price under the Get Into London Theatre promotion. Its a bit like Kidsweek but for anyone. However they are going on a weekday evening. They have £65 tickets reduced to £35 and £37.50 tickets reduced to £25 with no booking fee. Monday-Fridays
I have never seen Billy tickets reduced at the Leicester Square booth but I have seen them every so often on here
http://stagecoach.eolts.co.uk/tickets/b ... howid:1330 They currently have offers on for January and February but not on Saturdays.
There is a lot of bad language. Some of it is funny like the little boy shouting wan***. There are quite a few sh** and in the song solidarity use of f***
