Can anyone tell me how you get a link off u tube? I know how to get the encripting code but they are really long and I've seen a few links on this forum that are very short. I'm a bit of a technophobe so the simpler the better.

Go to youtube and click on the video you want to play to us. Once it is playing, copy and paste the url at the top of the screen. That's your link.
(The url is the code that appears at the top of your screen - at the moment it reads
http://wwwnotapushymum.com/phpbbposting.....etc) You will see it change as you select different videos on youtube.
Can't resist doing you an example now, since I had to do it myself to talk you through it!!

I hope so!
Just watching Francsecasmum's videos now, taking ages to load so just popped back on here.
Wow, that was a shock! Great twist at the end! You must be so proud of her, she is a natural! Had to laugh at the actor's feeble attempt to brush her hair! Reminds me of my dh....

I no it can be done as the man who did ds showreel said he could do it but it is best to have origional as it would not be good enough qualty to go on showreel. He has very expencive equpment. If u post on some site where there are a lot of people who have a lot of knowledge about that sort of thing they might be able to tell u how to do it

I really wanted to do that when my little dd and i were in BBC 2's How To Grow Your Own Drugs in 2009, I've since lost the video tape I made of it, so can't use it for showreel.

Yes, you can download and save videos from you tube to your computer. In order to do this you need Real Player installed on your computer. Then you get the weblink to the video from youtube (from the address bar on the internet), put it into the address bar in real player and when it starts playing, it has a little title in the right top corner saying Download this video, click on it and it saves it on you comp, you can also change the resolution, say where it says 360p, you can click on it and change it to HD to 720p. Hope it helps.

You do not need to download real player. Beware if you have itunes - real player can affect your settings and change your registry settings for playing audio files
KEEPVID IS YOUR FIREND
http://keepvid.com/
This is so easy. Select the video on youtube you wish to download. Highlight the the URL and copy (ie.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIbHPs_M55Q)
Go to keepvid site and paste in the dialogue box and press the download button. It will then ask you where you want to save the file as per any other file
