Hi,

Does anyone know the form for getting an agent in your final year? My dd will be entering final year at Mountview Musical Theatre Course next September. I know they have showcases that agents go to, but is it an idea to contact agents in advance to encourage them to come and look out for you?

Your dd should be getting advice from the school about approaching agents. The school should certainly be inviting as many agents and casting directors as possible to attend showcases and productions during the final year. It is also likely that they will be advising students to make their own approaches. I think I'd advise checking with the school about the correct approach as they will have years and years of experience and should know what will work best for their students.
