Hi Everyone. I know this site is mainly for acting but I have a little question about modelling! I haven't really done much modelling before, mainly acting, but I sent off my details for a modelling job because it sounded great! Sooo, I've just found out that I am gonna be one of 4 models for a clothing range and am gonna have my pictures all over the stores up and down the UK - you have probably all been in it at least once! Its very popular...thats why im kinda scared! Does anyone have any advice? Mainly about nerves in front of the camera as the other girls are really experienced :-/ I am shooting this week so id really appreciate some 'quick' help :P !! <3

That is fantastic news Fame - well done!! I think an important thing to remember is that the other girls have no idea what you have, or haven't, done before and they are probably just as nervous as you Just try and relax and have fun! My dd does modelling as well as acting and always gets nervous, more than she does for acting jobs! It is always fine in the end - once she's warmed up a bit. They obviously loved your look, so use that to boost your confidence

Just a bit of boring parent advise now, sorry - I can't help myself - I would also say to my dd - i am sure you have checked it all out and all is well above board - but even so, if you are going on your own make sure you give your folks all the details of where you are, and never do anything you feel uncomfortable about!

Hey I also did some modelling along side acting, I did a shoot for a big cinema brand and some other stuff and all I can say is enjoy it! You will have lots of fun on set and they are normally really nice people that do the shoots. Just remember that the other girls will have been in the same position as you at one point so should be understanding. Its also really fun to find your picture when you go out, it makes all my friends really proud haha! Trust me photographers know all about nerves and they will make you as relaxed as possible!
