pocket video cameras

Hi
Need some advice as I don't know anything about them
Been looking pocket video cameras for DS. They sound so easy for taking a quick video and loading straight to you tube, which seems to appeal to ds atm! Also really handy for rehearsing lines and for video auditions, so i think he would get some use out of it. And small enough to have in your bag with you.
I was looking at the Flip, they are around £100. Then I saw a Busbi DV119 HD Video Camera for only £35

I know you usually get what you pay for but wondered if anyone who understands these gadgets had any views on the Busbi vs the Flip.
Also, he has an ipod, so could he just use that instead, or is it no use if you want to do an audition piece to camera as you'd need a tripod? Sorry, said I hadn't a clue!
many thanks in advance for any help with this one.
