appearing in a google search

Hi my dd is a member of starnow and she is appearing in a google search by name which i don't want. Ive just unticked the profile visible button should this solve it do you think? It hasn't yet? Thanks for any help or answers x

Trouble is once ur child is on google then that is it will always be on there there is nothing u can do. Years ago ds agent tried and was told there was nothing we could do.

I don't think there is anything you can do......., also if they are in the paper or articles, you will be able to google them that way...

, including images
Your DD has now gone from my favourites..., something to do with making her profile non-visible maybe ?

this kind of thing has always worried me.
You should also be aware of websites 192 people and 123 people - and basically 192 people provides access to search for anyone .......not only that but where you live, your postcode, how long you've lived at that address, even the initial of your middle name.....and more worrying is that some people will have their phone numbers on their too - so its worth checking to see how much information about you and your family is on these sites. 123 people is the same, and without your knowledge or authorisation it links your information with your facebook account if you have one and shows your photo - and you have to contact them to have your information removed, and change settings on your facebook.
They get their information from electoral role. I was horrified....so I contacted them, sent a form off stating what I wanted removed from their site, just leaving the very minimum !! I think it is such an invasion of privacy.
