LICENSING ARRGGGGGGHHH

Hi There,

My local County Council has decided to stick to the 21 day licencing rule (even though coming from my area in Wales they only do under 10 a year my Ds being 3 of those)
Basically the education officer told me it wasn't his job as he doesn't have a desk job so why should he do it, Mmmmmm)

I know that the whole licencing process is under review, but why don't all Councils use their discretion (like some of the sensible ones) and encourage opportunity- we are living in difficult times at the moment and I find this attitude so frustrating - the Council in the next County will do them the same day

I am going to write a letter to them today and was just wondering any tips or pointers I should include!

Oh dear what a pain ! Why is it on a Saturday you have decided to have a rant, did something happen yesterday ? Get writting my dear and perhaps they will sit up and smell the coffee! Do they realise they are hindering the future of a BIG STAR !!

Write to your local councillor - they are elected to represent you - or why not go to see them at their regular surgery? I'm sure they'd take an interest, especially if they are in a marginal seat.

Flo got a license from our LEA in less than 48 hours this week. The 'delay' was because the production company mis-directed an email. So the 'applied time' to create a license must be measurable in hours, which makes an 'elapsed time' of 21 days utter nonsense.

Good luck!
