Transporting by chaperone

Hi, I've not posted for a while, but I have been "lurking"!

Ds is loving the local theatre productions he's been involved in but is really keen to take it further. He's always asking about film sets and West End work. All that's holding us back are my work commitments. We live an hour's train ride from London, so if he needed to be there on any of the 3 days I work then it just wouldn't be possible. He goes to school 5 miles from home, which is 20 miles from where I work - it wouldn't go down too well to put his commitments before my own job.

So, I've been wondering if there is such a thing as a chaperone agency? Or someone you can employ on an adhoc basis to take your DC into London or the agency office in Bucks when needed? I'm sure I can't be the only person in this situation.

TIA for any ideas. :)

I have 2 girls in their early 20's who help at dd's drama group they have often taken my dc to castings. We have a flat fee per casting and they do a great job and the children really like them, obviously it depends if they are free or not.

Thanks for the replies. DS's drama teacher says she knows a couple of people who could help. I also asked my LEA but they couldn't give out any info. They suggested contacting local theatres/drama classes and ask if they'd pass my details onto their chaperones.
I am just going to see how it goes and maybe try and make some contacts if needed but the drama teacher seemed hopeful she could help.
Hope this answer helps someone else. Oh yes fees would be in the region of £10 an hour plus fares, petrol etc.
