DD is filling them out
They are very long, & complex & annoying
We have only done 4 so far & I am fed-up already; I won't let her to her favourite colleges until she has completed her less favourite ones
Only 7 to go <sigh>

I remember it well, Katymac.....it seemed endless....but four down is a really good start!
Good luck with the rest......then it's the wait for the dates to come in (and hopefully no clashes)!! xx

Good luck - that's our half term job! As is deciding on songs and monologues a solo dance and taking some "suitable" pics to send off! Mind you we are only doing four applications this year so if we were you we would have finished!!
Hoping for new year auditions as dd has GCSE mocks in December. Did Laine audition support last Sunday which she loved

Megmar610 - can you tell me how soon the dates came through for after sending off applications please? Do you mind saying where you have applied - don't worry if you'd rather not say

Now I just found out DD's version of 'done' & my version of 'done' are quite different
I think 'done' means in an stamped addressed envelope in a letterbox, she doesn't
Oh dear
1 done!

Wow......it's all getting real now!!
Your comment about your DD's version of "done" really made me laugh.......it sounds just like my version of "please be completely ready to leave the house" meaning be ready to just pick up your bag and walk out of the door, and DD or DS's version of the same!! xxx

Yep Felixgirl - I have that one too (Coat/shoes/been to the loo/water/snack/uniform or kit & we leave)
Laines on 9th Dec double gulp
She thinks she has decided on her solo dance but her song is a bit of an issue.

What, exactly, is a classical leotard?
Not a thin strap camisole type - surely not DD likes a black sort of thicker strap leotard like a vest top

Wow - Laines big first one

How quickly did the date come through? Has she choreographed her own dance - my dd is really stressing over the dance - well stressing over all of it actually - which is why we are cutting back daily!! She is really not sure she is ready to go at 16 - may do Conti 2 year BTEC instead and then apply - feels she will be better prepared by then, although absolutely loved Audition Support day at Laines last Sunday

Are you still at 11 auditions? Does she have a favourite? Its all coming round a bit quickly for my liking

Try not to get too stressed......everyone is in the same boat.....and all anyone can do is their best on the day!!
Katiemac, a classical leotard is simply one that would be worn for ballet, rather than a jazz type!! It could be a tank leotard (with thicker straps) but I suspect that most people will wear a strappy camisole type (my DD likes them best!!).
