Rehearsal & Performance Schedules

Hi all,
I've been searching but cannot find anything,so apologise if i've missed a thread, but I'm curious about rehearsal & performance schedules for WE theatre/musical theatre productions.
Say, for example, DD wanted to audition for Matilda. What are the possible schedules for a member of the company? Same for plays such as Emil, are there similar schedules and performance expectations?
DD has only ever performed over 4 nights after a weekly rehearsal over 10 weeks and daily on set, so I have no idea of the implications of her auditioning for these "big" shows that occur yearly/long term.
Having read many of your posts over the year, I know most of your DC's have had some amazing experiences and have worked jolly hard in these shows. Your experience and knowledge is such a help for every mum, dad & grandparent helping their DC have a great time. Thanks for your help
