I got a reply from A and J Management regarding an email of a cv and cover letter I sent them. They said:

"Hello,

Please can you send me a recording of yourself doing a short contemporary monologue to camera. Once we have received this we will take a look and let you know if we can offer an audition. "

Does anyone no of any short contemporary monologues I can do??

I see you have posted this in a few places, so I'll repeat my advice for you

If you type 'monologue' into the search box on the top RH corner of this page, it should lead you to lots of threads where monologue choices have been suggested and discussed. You'll know all there is to know about them and share lots of real-life experiences too.

I think you'll find you only need to post requests once as many forum members check all the unread posts and will reply.

If you let me know age/gender I might be able to point you in the direction of where to look and what to look out for in a speech/monologue. It's very difficult to make a specific suggestion as you need to choose something the performer can connect with and something suited to their age/type/accent.
