Hamlet, Manchester

Last week I travelled 7 hours ( accident on the M1) to see Maxine Peake play Hamlet.
Oh boy it was amazing!
Maxine played Hamlet in a way I have never experienced, swapping between sulky and hard-done -by teenager, to a scheming murderous individual with clear mental health issues!
It was an absolute joy of a production, everything from the setting to the cast was in perfect harmony. I love the Royal exchange, Manchester you have a total gem of a place there.
I feel so privileged to have seen this and it is a theatre experience that I will treasure.
