Has anyone's dc had a recent Mountview audition? Would you mind sharing what they wore? Was proper dance gear needed (leotard, tights) or just comfy stuff (leggings, t-shirt), was there time to change between the different sessions?
Many thanks.

My dd did a regional one last week. She wore leotard with footless tights and shorts, with a dress over the top she could easily take off and put back on. The email says dancewear for the first part, then you can change but has to be quick, so shirt or t shirt over would be ok? It was some corner work and a MT routine, so I would say appropriate dancewear would be needed. Hope that helps.

Ds and class were told to wear dancewear and smartish clothing for other bits. Nothing ott but suggested no big logos etc. good luck x

One more question, are character shoes needed or just jazz shoes/trainers?

Would suggest just jazz shoes. You find out on the day if recalled and the are being held first weekend in May.

Is mountview dance /singing/acting ? I always thought they were more towards acting.

There has always been a good standard of dance required at MV but I know that at the audition they split the dance audition by ability. At least they did when DD auditioned there.

Bruno2,
Mountview, RCS and Central all have separate intakes for Musical Theatre as well as Acting. Last year my DS got to final stage for Musical Theatre at Central even though he'd applied for Acting. Seems he put it as second choice at audition stage!
He went but he's only really interested in straight Acting.
