2 Minute Audition Song - Shorter or Longer?

Hi, I'm new here so I hope I'm posting in the right place! I'm doing a MT course over the summer and I've been asked to prepare a couple of songs to work on over the course but they've said they should be 2 minutes in length. One of my songs is fine but the other I can only cut it to either 1:30 or 2:45~ (including a total of around 20 seconds accompaniment at the beginning and throughout). Is it generally a better idea to go over the time limit or under? Thanks
