Hosting on acting resume?

Hey, got a question: would it be appropriate to put a hosting job onto my acting resume? I was the Emcee for a gig put on by my cities international youth festival and it had quite a big paying crowd (250-300 teens/early twenties).
My resume is not overly filled (no professional credits) so would it be ok to put this Emcee job on there and have the sections read down as film, theatre, hosting, training, special skills.
Let me know your thoughts!X

Hi,

Firstly, without wishing to apprear patronising, it's M.C. - as in 'Master of Ceremonies'. Might look better this way?

Second - I don't really know but would have thought it would be OK to put on your CV as it shows you can address a large audience.

Hope that's of some help :D

If you want it to have a more 'performance' slant, how about calling it 'compere' - MC tends to suggest (at least to me) a more functionary activity, while a compere is often really performing.
