Dates on Spotlight

Wonder if anyone can advise please. My ds's have just filmed roles in a tv series that will air in 2017. I'm updating their Spotlight CV's to add this but not sure if to put 2016 as the year as this is when they filmed it or 2017 as that is when the series will air? What do people do in this situation? Thanks in advance.

Can you put it in the 'Currently appearing' thing for now and then put it into 2017 once it's showing?

I'd do the reverse
Put it in the credits (because they've been cast and done the work) and put it in " currently appearing " nearer the date (with a broadcast date) so that CDs know when they can watch it.
